<p>PURPOSE:To surely start an engine by predicting the necessary heat quantity for a fuel heating means when the engine can not be started, feeding pre-fuel prior to the action of a starter when the necessary heat quantity is larger than a reference value, and exciting the fuel heating means. CONSTITUTION:A means M1 judges whether an engine A can be started based on the alcohol concentration of fuel and engine temperature. When it is judged that the engine A can not be started, a means M2 predicts the necessary heat quantity for a heating means B to accelerate the gasification of fuel for the fuel feed set quantity at the time of a start. When the predicted necessary heat quantity is larger then the preset reference value, pre-fuel for the complete explosion of the engine A is fed to the means M3 prior to the action of a starter C. The heating means B is excited when pre-fuel is fed, and the start is delayed by a means M4 so that the excitation of the heating means B is completed and a starter C is operated when the gasification of pre-fuel is completed.</p> |
