An assembly for clamping a glass panel comprises a metal section having a tapered groove along its length, a deformable clamping section fitting into the tapered groove, an elastic member installed between the clamping section and outer end of the glass panel, a fastener for holding the clamping section tight in the tapered groove whereby the outer end of the glass panel to be clamped may be inserted in said clamping section and clamped. |
