Operating device of the type which has a cylinder 10 and, arranged therein, a piston 14 and also a piston rod 16 projecting from the cylinder 10. Located between a wall in the cylinder 10 and a projecting flange 20 on the piston 14 is a bladder 24, to which a connection 26 is connected, through which pressure medium can be supplied to the interior of the bladder.
