The invention relates to a method and an arrangement for the elimination of latency from mechanical half-stuffs. The stock is mixed at a consistency of at most 3.5% and a temperature above 50@C in a container (1). To produce rapid and efficient elimination of latency, the stock is mixed in at least two mixing zones following each other as seen in the stock delivery direction and at a distance from each other, in such a way that hydrodynamic forces are effected in the fibres with the aid of mixing means (4). The separation between the mixing zones formed by the mixing means (4) is made so large that the fibres have time to return to a quiescent position before the following mixing zone. <IMAGE> |
