The invention relates to a freezing frame for freezing fish, fish fillets and similar foodstuffs in block form. The freezing frame comprises a rectangular frame 1 of extruded aluminium profile section or stainless steel combined with a fixed bottom 2 in the form of a sheet with upturned edges 9. The edges are closed at the corners by welding, soldering or some other suitable method. The freezing frame according to the invention is characterized in that the liquid that is expelled from the fish during the freezing process is collected in the bottom. In this way the liquid is prevented from seeping out on to the freezing plates and settling there as lumps and coatings of ice. The freezing frame is at the same time well-suited to use in automatic cold storage plants, for example of the continuous throughput type, owing to the fixed bottom, which means easy and efficient handling of the freezing frame through the plant. <IMAGE>
