PURPOSE:To enhance abrasion resistance as well as selectivity to acrylonitrile of a catalyst by specifying a range of Mo, Bi, Sb, Mg, Fe, Si or the like constituting said catalyst. CONSTITUTION:A composition of a catalyst used in preparing acrylonitrile by ammoxidation of propylene is specified in a range of a formula MoaBibSbcMgdSifOg (wherein X is one or more of Fe, Cr or Mn, when (a) is 10, (b) is 0.1-10, (c) is 0.01-8, (d) is 0.1-10, (e) is 0.01-5, (f) is 10-50, (g) is naturally defined from constitutional elements but, usually, 30-80). Said catalyst is obtained by a method wherein a slurry containing each constitutional elements is spray dried to be formed into a fine particle and the formed particle is backed at about 500-700 deg.C. Said catalyst has a high acrylonitrile yield as well as is not almost abraded and finely divided when filled in a reactor and excellent in abrasion resistance. |
