A method of and an apparatus for feeding and applying end stops (101) one at a time onto a slide fastener chain (C) are disclosed. An elongated strip (100) wound on a reel (12) and carrying a multiplicity of prospective end stops (101) serially interconnected by flexible connecting cords (102) is cut successively across the cords (102) to separate a leading end stop (101a) which is folded centrally about its longitudinal axis. The thus cut end stop (101a) is transferred onto and clamped in place over a beaded edge (107) of a stringer tape (T) with heat and pressure. <IMAGE> |
