The guide (22) consists of a foot piston portion fixed to the retaining surface, and a guide portion spaced apart from it through which the bar (20) slides and about which it can pivot (38). The outer cross-section (46) of the foot deviates from a circle and is fitted into a hole through the door (12) up to a peripheral groove in the rim of the foot parallel to the plane of the door. ADVANTAGE - Assembly requires no welding or complicated screw-cap fitting, and retaining surface need not be accessible from both sides.
