Pallets used for making concrete walls - are lifted on and off storage racks by crane

Pallets (2) used for forming concrete walls and roofs are stored on racks (14) mounted one above the other. Each rack (14) is fitted with rollers (15) to enable the pallet (2) to be slid into its storage position. The pallets (2) are placed on the racks (14) with the aid of an overhead crane (11) which runs on rails (5). The crane supports a horizontal beam (11) by means of two pulley blocks (8). The beam (11) is fitted with a number of swinging vertical arms (16) actuated by pneumatic cylinders (18). These arms (16) have rollers (12) at their lower ends which can be swung between flanges projecting from each side of the pallet. These rollers (12) enable the pallet (2) to be slid onto a rack when raised to the corresponding height by the crane (1).
