The aperture coverage of the array is derived from the signal obtd. from an integral hollow conductor (40) into which the emissions from the antenna elements (43) are coupled. The elements are fed with HF energy (33) via a network (41) of phase shifters (42). The output is mixed (30) with that of a coupler (34) sampling the input. A low-pass filter (31), sample-and-hold circuit (44) and digitiser (45) feed a discrete Hilbert transform signal processor (46).
