PURPOSE:To increase load capacity merely based on selection of specific lubricant by storing an engaging element in wedge-shaped space which is formed between an inward member and an outer ring, and filling such lubricant that shows hardness under high surface pressure into the wedge-shaped space. CONSTITUTION:A polygonal cam face 2 is formed on the outside diametrical face of an inward member 1, and wedge-shaped space 4 is formed in a gap toward the inside diametrical face of an outer ring 3. An engaging element 5 is stored in this space 4. The engaging element 5 is energized in the direction, where wedge angle decrease, by means of a spring member 8 which is stored in the pocket 7 of the holder 6 of the engaging element 5. Such lubricant 10 that shows hardness under high surface pressure is filled in the wedge-shaped space 4. When the lubricant 10 is used, high mu functions based on the property of the lubricant 10 when the engaging element 5 is caught in the wedge-shaped space 4. Thus, it is possible to increase load capacity merely based on selection of specific lubricant. |
