A composition suitable for use in producing tire treads, is provided. The composition comprises a halogen-containing copolymer of a C4 to C7 isomonoolefin and a para-alkylstyrene; a rubber, such as, styrene-butadiene rubber, carbon black, and a plasticizer oil. Tires comprising treads made of the composition are also provided.
