PURPOSE:To efficiently dispose the trailing end of a wrapped paper, by attaching an adhesive tape on one end of a wrapping sheet before the initiation of a wrapping process so that both adhession and securing of the wrapping paper may be made simultaneously with the presscontact of the trailing end of the wrapping paper onto a cylinder. CONSTITUTION:The leading end P' of a wrapping paper P which has been taken out from an original roll 1, is temporarily adhered onto the peripheral surface of a temporarily winding roll 2 with the use of an adhesive tape 3 paid off from an adhesive tape source 4. At this time a substantially half part of the width of the adhesive tape 3 is adhered to the leading end P' of the wrapping sheet and the other half part is adhered onto the roll 2. Then the temporarily winding roll 2 is rotated to wind up the wrapping sheet P thereonto. When the sheet P is wrapped by a predetermined length, the trailing end of the sheet P is cut off by a cutter 12 to form one end which later becomes the leading end P'' of the sheet wrapped onto a cylinder R. When the cylinder R is introduced to a predetermined position, the temporarily winding roll 2 is led to above the cylinder R, and the wrapping sheet P is wrapped onto the cylinder R while the leading end P'' of the wrapping sheet P is temporarily held by a temporarily holding device 13, thereby the wrapping process is carried out. |
