PURPOSE:To make improvements in responsiveness and control stability by estimating the gross weight of an automobile from the detected data of throttle opening, car speed, engine speed of the like at a transient period, and compensating the controlled variable of these data. CONSTITUTION:An arithmetic control part 10 inputs each signal of a select position detecting sensor 14, an accelerator detecting sensor 15a, a brake detecting sensor 15b, a car speed sensor 16, an engine speed sensor 18, a throttle opening sensor 19, etc., and it controls a DC motor for a continuously variable transmission 4 and a solenoid clutch 2 according to a driving state. In this case, the gross weight of a vehicle is estimated from the magnitude of a transient response of the detected data on throttle opening, car speed, engine speed or the like at a transient period (acceleration and deceleration) at time of car running, and on the basis of this estimated weight, the controlled variable is compensated. Thus improvements in responsiveness and control stability at time of actual driving are promotable. |
