摘要 The method of positioning a motor vehicle (1), esp. a driverless transport rail-borne vehicle, at a stopping position in a station (14) involves decelerating the vehicle in a deceleration zone (b1,b2) in the station. The actual position of the vehicle is monitored at least within an end section (e1,e2) of the deceleration zone and its speed within the zone is controlled according to its position to ensure exact positioning at the stopping point. USE/ADVANTAGE - Esp. for stopping transport vehicle at a stopping point at which it is loaded or unloaded. Rapid, accurate and reliable positioning is ensured without mechanical docking aid.
