SEMICONDUCTOR LIGHT EMITTING ELEMENT MODULE

PURPOSE:To obtain the module having high reliability in a large quantity by specifying the distance between a light emitting element unit and a cylindrical lens at 1 to 3.5mm. CONSTITUTION:This module is constituted of a light emitting unit 10 constituted of a semiconductor light emitting 1 and a spherical lens 2 for condensing the exit light from this semiconductor light emitting element and a cylindrical lens 4 for condensing the exit light from the light emitting unit 10. The distance between the light emitting unit 10 and the cylindrical lens 4 is constituted at 1 to 3.5mm. The exit light of the semiconductor light emitting element is easily collimated if the distance between the light emitting unit 10 and the cylindrical lens 4 is constituted at 1 to 3.5mm in such a manner. The exit light is efficiently condensed into a fine optical fiber of several microns in this way. The semiconductor light emitting element module having stable characteristics is thus obtd. easily in a large quantity.
