The sun awning has supporting arms (2), a gravity bar (1), and a support system for the latter. The system comprises a supporting rod (3) and a cross-strut (7). One end of the rod hinges on the bar and the other bears against the ground. The strut is joined at one end to the top part of the rod, and at the other is coupleddetachably couped (8) to one of the supporting arms. ADVANTAGE - High stability and resistance to wind pressure when extended.
