PURPOSE:To use large and small sample bottles in response to the amount of samples by providing a photosensor and a shutter for turning ON and OFF the photosensor in a case for pawls that are attached to an arm. CONSTITUTION:When an electromagnetic solenoid 15 is conducted, pawls 10 are opened. When both electromagnetic solenoids 15 and 16 are not conducted, i.e. in the balanced state, a large bottle is held. When the electromagnetic sole noid 16 is conducted, a small sample bottle is held. Which of the electromagnetic solenoids 15 and 16 is conducted or not conducted is determined based on the shielding relationship between a shutter 13 and a photosensor 12 and the moving amount of an arm 5. This setting is performed with a CPU. In this way, two kinds of large and small sample bottles are held with this mechanism and brought to the position of a turret 2 of an automatic sample injecting apparatus 1 from a tray 3. For example, in the case of the large sample bottle, it is ar ranged at a No.6 position. In the case of the small sample bottle, it is arranged at a No.5 position. |
