A novel oxypropylene polymer containing a reactive silicon group, wherein the main polymer chain essentially comprises the repeating units of formula ( alpha ), at least one reactive silicon group and at least one urethane bond are present at the terminals of the polymer chain, the ratio of M &cir& NOt w to M &cir& NOt n is 1.5 or less, and the number-average molecular weight is 3,000 or above. The production process comprises reacting an oxypropylene polymer having a ratio of M &cir& NOt w to M &cir& NOt n of 1.5 or less and a number-average molecular weight per unit terminal function of 1,500 or above with a compound having both a reactive silicon group and an isocyanate group. |
