<p>A color separation method that employs "virtual", as opposed to "measured" colors to calculate the Neugebauer coefficients is disclosed. The "virtual" colors are related to the original colors. Saturation of the CM, CY, and MY primaries is increased without changing the hue of the primaries. The resulting "virtual" CM', CY', and MY' primaries permit the calibration of a "virtual" printing process that has a wider saturation gamut than the real printing process.</p> |
