PURPOSE:To certainly perform recording even when recording is applied to a reversible thermal recording sheet by using a recording means and to make the sheet reusable any number of times without contaminating the thermal head of the recording means by providing a heat-resistant lubricating layer to the uppermost layer of the sheet on the side to be recorded by the thermal head of the recording means. CONSTITUTION:A reversible thermal recording sheet is formed by laminating a reversible thermal recording layer 2 to the surface of a base material 1 and providing a heat-resistant lubricating layer 4 on the reversible thermal recording layer 2 or by successively laminating the reversible thermal recording layer 2 and a thermoplastic resin layer 3 to the surface of the base material 1 and providing the heat-resistant lubricating layer 4 on the thermoplastic resin layer 3. The heat-resistant layer 4 makes the running of a thermal head smooth at the time of recording and a part of the heat-resistant layer is detached to adhere to the thermal head to exert no adverse effect on the life of the thermal head. For example, a heat-resistant lubricating material composed of a silicone resin or fluoroplastics or a heat- resistant lubricating material consisting of inorg. pigment and a resin is used. As the base material, there are papers such as fine paper, coated paper or condenser paper, a plastic film composed of polyethylene or polypropylene, and synthetic papers or metal foil sheet such as YUPO or PEACH-COAT. |
