<p>PURPOSE:To lighten the weight of a revolving scroll and prevent an increase in load on the external surface of the end plate of the revolving scroll by so providing a plurality of radial ribs on the rear of the end plate as to be extended from a bearing boss to the external surface of the end plate, and using a recess between the aforesaid ribs as a passage continuous from the external surface of the end plate to a back pressure chamber. CONSTITUTION:Radial ribs 1c are formed on the surface of the end plate 1b of a revolving scroll 1 at the opposite side of spiral laps 1a, and the aforesaid ribs 1c are extended from a bearing boss 4 for coupling the eccentric part 13a of a main shaft 13 to the external surface of the end plate 1b. In addition, some of the aforesaid ribs 1c form an Oldham's key way 1d as a pair. A recess 1b between the ribs 1c is continuous to the external surface of the end plate 1b, and forms a lubricating oil passage continuous from the external surface 1f of the end plate 1b to a back pressure chamber 5. The ribs 1c are extended in a direction approximately orthogonal with the spiral laps 1a, and act as a structure for increasing the rigidity of the revolving scroll 1, thereby enabling the application of a thin wall to the end plate 1b and light weight to the revolving scroll 1.</p> |
