摘要

PURPOSE:To save the space for a device main body when a driving force is transmitted from the image carrier like a photosensitive drum to other devices by providing plural driving transmission parts which differ in driving ability at one end part of the image carrier. CONSTITUTION:When a magnetic single-component developer is used, the photosensitive drum 1 obtains the driving force from the driving device M of an electrophotographic copying machine main body and a developing sleeve 14a is driven through a drum flange gear 2 and a sleeve gear 4a to rotate. When a nonmagnetic single-component developer is used, on the other hand, the driving force for the developing sleeve 14b is obtained from the drum 1 through a drum flange gear 3 and a sleeve gear 4b. When the numbers of the gears 2 and 3 are denoted as Z1 and Z2 so that Z1>Z2, the rotating speed of a sleeve is made slower when the nonmagnetic single-component developer is used than when the magnetic single-component developer is used. The common photosensitive drum is usable for plural kinds of process cartridge which each support a drum 1 and a developing unit integrally.
