PURPOSE:To draw out toner to a supporting body side by potential gradient which is comparatively low by making the toner exist in a cloud state near an aperture entrance. CONSTITUTION:A medium P is fed from an insertion port 15 to a recording part 1 through a guide 13 and the toner T is supplied to a carrying roller 3 by a roller 4. At such a time, charge is injected to the toner T on the roller 3 by a power source E1 and the toner T is electrostatically charged. Then, the toner T flies toward a reference electrode 7 on which a voltage having an opposite polarity is impressed and sticks there. Next, the charge is injected to the toner T from the electrode 7 and the toner T is electrostatically charged to be in the opposite polarity, flies toward the roller 3 and sticks there. By repeating the above, the cloud state of the toner is obtained. At such a time, by impressing the voltage on a control electrode 8 in accordance with a signal source S, the toner in the cloud state passes only through the aperture of the electrode where the voltage is impressed and flies toward a counterelectrode 10 connected to a power source E2, then the toner is attracted to the medium P guided by the guide 13 and an auxiliary roller 14. |
