PURPOSE: To exactly terminate fuel flow by opening and closing the halfway of a fuel supply path communicated with a pumping chamber partitioned between a pair of plungers by a fuel entrance quantitative supply valve assembly and optimizing the closing and opening time. CONSTITUTION: Within a housing 46, a cylindrical fuel distribution rotor 74 which is driven and revolved is stored. Within a circular hole formed in the diameter direction of this rotor 74, a pair of plungers 88, 90 are slidably fitted. After fuel sucked within a pumping chamber 84 via a fuel supply path 50 is pressurized by radially reciprocating the plungers 88, 90 via a cam shoe 95 sliding via a fixed annular cam 92 and a roller 93, fuel is supplied to fuel injection nozzles 22, 30 of each cylinder via a supply path 100. In this case, a valve seat 52 provided on the halfway of the fuel supply path 50 is opened and closed by a valve element 108 of a fuel entrance quantitative supply valve assembly 105, the opening and closing time is optimized and fuel flow is exactly terminated. |
