<p>PURPOSE:To exhibit the advantage of persimmon and that of metal or carbon, ABS resin, etc., even with a ball of high hardness by compressing and hardening leather to form a club head equipped with both a head portion with a hitting face and a neck portion extending upward from the head portion. CONSTITUTION:Leather 1 used is obtained by processing of oxhide or horsehide or tough hides of other animals and plural sheets of leather 1 each of which is impregnated with a hardening agent when necessary are stacked on one another via an adhesive when needed and are pressed by heating and compressed and hardened sufficiently and formed into stacked leather 2. A plurality of unit blocks 8 for forming a club head from the stacked leather 2 are molded and each unit block 8 is coped and a club head 3 is formed in which the direction 5 of the stacked surface is raised and inclined toward the surface of a sole 6 with respect to a neck portion 7, and a shaft attachment hole 9 is formed in the neck portion 7. The surface of the club head is finished and a face plate or a sole plate is stuck thereto and a shaft 10 is fixed to the head to form a golf club. The strength and hardness of the club head are high enough to make the sound and touch of hitting very nice.</p> |
