COMPLEX ORE PROCESSING METHOD

The process comprises collective flotation of the sulphurous ores and of the oxidic ores after sulphurising, for treatment with Cucl2 solution (CuCl2 200, HCL 10-50 g.l) at 85 - 100 deg C. The solid:liquid ration is 1:4 to 1:6, and the heating and mixing is undertaken via hot gas containing SO2 to regenerate the HCL. Collective or selective precipitation gives controlled concentrate, and the residues have high zinc content. The zinc is separated in an autoclave under oxygen pressure, with isolation of the zinc in sulphide form following calcining and sulphising.
