Programme-controlled paper cutting machine - optically scans cutting marks allowing programming of cutter movement

The paper cutting machine has a table (3) supporting the stacked paper which is displaced into the cutting position. The cutting marks provided by the stack are optically scanned. The cutting data are fed to a programme memory for programme-control of the cutting device used to cut the stack into blocks. Pref., the optical scanner uses a dynamically focussed sensor device (7), or a charge-coupled device (21), a laser light source used in the case of a dynamically-focussed sensor device (7) providing a light spot of max. dia. of approximately 0.15 mm, pref. 0.02 mm. ADVANTAGE - Increased working speed.
