摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain a transmission display color approximate to white and to decrease the unnecessary coloring of a non-transmission display color by providing a light source having the light emission spectra to make up the wavelength region where the transmitivity of a liquid crystal panel is lowest. CONSTITUTION:The light source having the light emission spectra to make up the wavelength region where the transmitivity of the liquid crystal panel is lowest is provided. Namely, the spectral characteristic which is flat from a blue wavelength region 1 to a red wavelength region 3 is obtd. in the display color 7 at the time of transmission display with respect to the display color 8 at the time of non-transmission display by using a light source indicating, for example, the light emission spectra 4. The transmission display color which is nearly white is obtd. in this way and the unnecessary coloring of the non- transmission display color is decreased. In addition, the influence of the color fluctuation of the light source is lessened.
