STRUCTURAL ELEMENTS CONTAINING WOOD CHIPS, IN PARTICULAR PLASTER BOARDS

A description is given of structural elements, in particular plasterboards of the sandwich-type or pure plasterboards, the plaster core containing up to about 10% wood chips in addition to the additives known in this technology. The chips are made up in turn of elongated strip-shaped flat chips produced in cutter mills and plate-type flat chips produced in swing-hammer mills. They are added to the dry plaster with the other components, after which this mix is processed on a standard sandwich-type plasterboard machine with water being added.
