The data reception device (7) is equipped with a modem that converts data signals from the telephone circuit into ordinary data signals, and a work station (9) for storing the output of the modem. The reception device (7) is further equipped with a voice synthesiser (10) which outputs predetermined low frequency audio frequencies onto the telephone circuit (6) in response to an instruction from the work station (9).
