PURPOSE:To form an elongated pattern ground having the gloss of a porcelain tone by allowing a synthetic resin sheet to pass along an intagliated pattern to provide a recessed and projected pattern on the front surface of the sheet, simultaneously filling a pastelike resin into the interior of this front surface, which is provided with the recessed and projected pattern, to form a recessed and projected pattern, and flattening the rear surface of the recessed and projected pattern with the pastelike resin. CONSTITUTION:An opaque pastelike resin 2 is applied to one surface of an elongated base material 20 consisting of a synthetic resin sheet having flexibility and transparency. Then, the elongated base material 20 is applied with the pastelike resin 2 is allowed to pass between a heated cylinder 8 made of metal and a pressing roll 12 intaglioed with an intagliated pattern, which are rotatably arranged to be opposed to each other, in such a manner that the synthetic resin sheet faces the pressing roll 12 forming the intagliated pattern, while the surface applied with the pastelike resin faces the cylinder 8, and the synthetic resin sheet is allowed to pass along the intagliated pattern to provide a recessed and projected pattern on the front surface of the sheet. The pastelike resin is then filled inside the front surface to form the recessed and projected pattern, and the rear surface is flattened with this resin. |
