Hydrogen sulfide abating cooling toner

Hydrogen sulfide is removed from a fluid stream of condensed steam by addition of an iron chelate catalyst to oxidize H2S to sulfur. The removal is carried out in a modified cooling tower where condensed steam is added to a recycled iron chelate liquid in a water collection tray for a period of time sufficient to oxidize the H2S before the fluid stream is introduced to the cooling tower to remove sulfur.
