The present invention relates to household cooking utensils, such as saucepans, frying pans, stewpots, etc., made from a metal with a low melting point, particularly made from aluminium. In order to permit problem-free use of these utensils on glass-ceramic heating plates, the invention proposes to equip these utensils with a perforated false bottom (12) produced from a metal having a melting point markedly higher than that of the metal of the utensil (10) and fastened to the outside of the bottom of the latter. <IMAGE>
