PURPOSE:To readily obtain the subject high-quality film having mechanical properties by using an optically anisotropic dope containing a halide of an alkali (earth) metal, amide-based solvent and specific polyamide as components. CONSTITUTION:The objective film obtained by preparing an optically anisotropic dope from (A) 14-20 pts.wt. polyamide, composed of recurring units expressed by formulas I to III (formulas I and II are present in equimolar amounts when they are present in the polymer; R, R' and R'' are bifunctional group; n is 0 or 1; at least about 95mol% of the R, R' and R'' is one rigid group having an extended chain bond, etc.) and having >=3.0 intrinsic viscosity, (B) 0.014-1 pt.wt. halide of an alkali (earth) metal, (C) 0.014-1 pt.wt. amide-based solvent and (D) 78-86 pts.wt. sulfuric acid at 98-100wt.% concentration and wet forming the resultant dope and having >=600kg/mm<2> Young's modulus in a state of an as-formed film. |
