A duckboard for laying on beams in scaffolding comprises a number of parallel metal profiles 4 which extend along the entire length of the board 1 and on top of which an elongate sheet-metal plate 3 is securely riveted in order to form an upper support plane. The board 1 also has transverse catch members 8 on its underside intended for engagement with the said beams in order to anchor the board 1. The sheet-metal plate 3 covers the whole top of the board 1, and each end portion of the plate 3 is bent back around the ends of the metal profiles 4 and riveted to the underside of the board 1. This board, which is intended to replace previously known boards made of wood, has very good load-bearing capacity and strength and is not sensitive to moisture. The board is made completely of metal but is still in practice considerably lighter than a wooden board of the same size since the latter absorbs water when used outdoors. The metal board is thus suitable for repeated use a large number of times. <IMAGE> |
