PURPOSE:To obtain the titled particle having excellent moldability and higher expansion ratio than that of the base particles, by imparting foamability to a specific prefoamed particle of a polypropylene resin, and foaming the product. CONSTITUTION:Foamability is imparted to prefoamed particles of a polypropylene resin satisfying the relationship of formula (E is true expansion ratio of the prefoamed particle; n is number of cells per 1mm.<2> cross-section) and having the crystal structure to give a DSC curve (measured by heating 1-3mg of the prefoamed particle with a differential scanning calorimeter to 220 deg.C at a heating rate of 10 deg.C/min) having a high-temperature peak at higher side than the intrinsic peak of the PP resin. The objective particle having higher expansion ratio than the expansion ratio E is obtained by foaming the prefoamed particles with heat. |
