PURPOSE:To obtain an arbitrary output voltage by connecting the primary side of a transformer and a direct-current power source to a column prepared by connecting in series two sets or more of units constructed of semiconductor switches, in direct-current distribution in a building or the like. CONSTITUTION:A column is formed by connecting a reactor 5 in series to a semiconductor switch constructed of thyristors 3 and 3' and a diode 4 and further by connecting in series two sets or more of units each constructed by connecting capacitors 2 and 2' in parallel. The number of the units is set to be even. The unit on the low-voltage side is connected to the primary-side terminal of a transformer 6 and a direct-current power source O is connected between the unit on the high-voltage side and the transformer 6. On the secondary side of the transformer, an output end is formed of a rectifier 7 and others. A control circuit comprising a potential divider 8, a gate pulse coupling circuit 16, etc., gives a gate pulse alternately to the thyristors 3 and 3' in the odd number and the even number of the unit. An output voltage is determined by a gate pulse pitch and the ratio of transformation of the transformer 6. |
