PURPOSE:To increase buckling load by arranging plural pressure rolls with which the pass line in the height direction of a material to be rolled is varied in the vicinity of edger rolls and making the cross-sectional shape of the section in the longitudinal direction of the material to be rolled between a pair of edger rolls into an approximately circular-arcuate shape. CONSTITUTION:By varying the pass line in the height direction of the material 1 to be rolled with the plural pressure rolls 3a, 3b, 3c, the cross-sectional shape of the section in the longitudinal direction of the material 1 to be rolled between a pair of edger rolls 2 can be made into an approximately circular-arcuate shape. Thus, the second moment of area of the material 1 to be rolled can be increased and buckling load can be increased. In this way, edging quantity can be taken larger, a thin slab and strip can be efficiently edging rolled. |
