The invention concerns an overload protection for a set of rolls with two rolls located one on top of the other. One roll can move radially against a spring force 10 where the opening between the rolls increases to the same extent as the thickness increases of the goods intended for rolling between the rolls. A pivoting lever providing a spring-force is arranged before its limit position to hit against a limit connection 12, 13 and on the same mounting base 11 there is a repeating connection 14, 15 against which the part 5 of a mechanism comes into contact, which mechanism removes the rolls when the finger guard 21 is in a raised position.
