The invention relates to an extractable programming unit for electrical heating apparatus. The subject of the invention is an extractable programming unit for electrical heating apparatus, characterised in that it includes a casing (3) incorporating at least a part of the programming and monitoring circuits and their control members and connected by a flexible lead (4) to the heating apparatus (1), attachment/detachment means (11, 12) being provided both on the casing (3) and at a suitable location on the apparatus (1) in order to allow, on the one hand, positioning according to at least one predetermined position of the casing with respect to the apparatus and, on the other hand, separation of the casing from the apparatus with a view to its operation (handling).
