The safety ski-binding has a soleplate (22) hinging parallel to the ski surface, and a pair of sole holders (30) at the foreward end of the plate. These each hinge on an axis (31) at right angles to the plate between a holding position fitting round the edge of the ski-boot sole at the side and top and a release position allowing outwards movement. Links (32) attached to the holders bear at their other ends (34) against a release member (37) movable on the plate in the holding position. When the plate hinges on the ski through more than a predetermined angle, the member strikes a stop (28') fixed to the ski, moving a link so as to allow a holder to swing free. Each link bears at its supporting end (34) against a support (35) on the plate at an angle such that it is thrust against the release member, divides the load between them.
