<p>The present invention relates to an oil level detector in the sump of a motor vehicle, this detector being of the type comprising a heat sensitive sensor (100) whose resistivity slope reverses on passing through a critical temperature threshold, and supply means (110, 112) capable of applying electrical energy to the sensor, characterised in that it comprises: means (140) capable of measuring an electrical parameter related to the resistance of the sensor, delay means (150) capable of defining a delay (T4) slightly longer than the time (T2-T0) necessary for the sensor to reach the critical temperature by self-heating when the sensor (100) is in air, and means (140) capable of comparing the measured electrical parameter with a reference value (VREF) at the end of the delay (T4). <IMAGE></p> |
