The invention relates to a vehicle brake compensating device, the latter being governed by the load of the vehicle and hydraulically driven and being of the type having a piston (18) sliding in a stepped bore made in a body and carrying a flap valve normally open arranged between a pressurised fluid source and an associated brake circuit, the piston (18) being movable against a spring under the action of the pressure of the fluid tending to close the flap valve and comprising in addition a sealed control chamber (16) connected to a load sensor (10).
<??>According to the invention the compensating device comprises an additional valve (14) normally open arranged between the chamber (16) and the sensor (10) in order to interrupt the connection between the chamber (16) and the sensor (10) during braking.
