<p>A label printer comprises a supporting frame (12) having a pair of side plates (14, 15) facing each other. A platen roller (24) and a head unit (30) having a print head (39) are arranged between the side plates (14,15). A supporting shaft (32) extends parallel to the platen roller (24) and has one end fixed to one of the side plates (14,15) and a free end adjacent to the other side plate. The head unit (30) is supported on the supporting shaft (32) and located in an operative position wherein the print head (39) is opposite to the platen roller (24). The head unit (30) is slidable from the operative position to the outside of the supporting frame (12) along the supporting shaft (32). The free end of the shaft (32) and the head unit (30) in the operative position is fixed by a fixing member (38) mounted on the other side plate (15). <IMAGE></p> |
