The measurement arrangement contains at least one coil (16,17) carrying an a.c. current whose measurement voltage is compared with a predefined demand value. The coil forms part of an electronic evacuation circuit. The measurement component can be of ferromagnetic or non-ferromagnetic material but is electrically conducting. The measurement arrangement is built into a feed arrangement so that the components (13) pass between opposing coils. The coils are connected in series in a bridge circuit arm. The coil signals are converted into digital form and compared together in a logic circuit.
