The present invention relates to the improvement of the opening of metal vessels in which the lateral wall has, in the vicinity of its upper edge, an elongate shape which is folded over on itself, thus giving rise to a round-section fold which extends internally in a downward direction until it converges with a parallel line coinciding with the start of the outer expansion in which zone it reverses its direction, along a "V"-shaped fold, ascending and in a vertical direction, forming, at the top, another outward, tangential, concentric and staggered fold compared with the aforesaid fold. <IMAGE>
