<p>PURPOSE:To form a curved shape along a heel part shape of a shoe last while only softening a shape retaining stiffener by utilizing the shape retaining stiffener which can be formed beforehand into a curved shape along a partial shape of the last by means of a shape memory polymer. CONSTITUTION:A shape retaining stiffener 1 which is formed beforehand into a curved shape along a partial shape of a toe part, heel part and the like of a last by means of a shape memory polymer is inserted into a shape retaining stiffener insertion pocket to be fitted to a shape retaining part 21 of an upper skin 2. The upper skin 2 is reheated to a shape recovery temperature of a plate-like shape retaining stiffener 1' fitted to the shape retaining part 21 of the upper skin in a manufacturing process of shoes. In the case the reheating is performed before the upper skin 2 is fitted to the last, a number of the upper skins can be simultaneously heat treated in an oven and the like and it is convenient. A plate-like shape retaining stiffener 1' is recovered by heating to an original shape bending-formed along the last and the shape retaining part 21 of the shoe upper skin is bent beforehand along the last, thus making the fitting work convenient.</p> |
