PURPOSE:To improve the environmental stability of electrification of a toner, to form a sharp electrostatic charge distribution and to prevent the deterioration of the electrostatic chargeability of the toner due to mechanical force by sticking a polymer contg. a specified F-contg. vinyl monomer as a monomeric component to the surfaces of the toner particles having a substance capable of forming a radical on the surfaces. CONSTITUTION:A polymer contg. an F-contg. vinyl monomer represented by formula I as a monomeric component is stuck to the surfaces of toner particles having a substance capable of forming a radical on the surfaces. In the formula I, X is H or F, Y is a group represented by formula II, R1 is H or 1-3C alkyl and (n) is 0 or an integer of 1-7. The environmental stability of electrification of the toner is improved, a sharp electrostatic charge distribution is formed and the deterioration of the electrostatic chargeability of the toner due to mechanical force is prevented. |
