The circuit for producing a square test model comprises: a clock pulse generator (10); a frequency divider (20) for dividing the clock pulses by eight in order to minimise errors in synchronisation; a longitudinal line generator (30) for receiving the divided clock pulses from the frequency divider in order to produce data for printing the longitudinal lines; a unit for establishing a printing area (40) in order to receive the signals, at the beginning and end of printing a line, coming from the longitudinal line generator so as to establish the points at the beginning and end of printing by the clock pulses originating from the frequency divider; a generator of synchronisation signals (50) for synchronising the horizontal synchronisation signals by clock pulses originating from the clock pulse generator so as to produce load signals from the longitudinal line generator and clock pulses for transverse lines; a transverse line generator (60) for receiving the transverse line clock pulses from the generator of synchronisation signals in order to produce transverse line printing data; and a square model generator (70) for receiving the signals originating from the transverse and longitudinal line generators in order to produce printing data for the square model by the output signal from the unit for establishing the printing area. <IMAGE>
